Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Simmr platform. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.
Last updated: Sat 6 Jun
1. The Simmr platform
Simmr is a marketplace that lets independent home cooks ("Cooks") sell home-cooked food to customers ("Customers"). Simmr provides the technology; the Cook is the seller and is responsible for the food they prepare.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or over to sell on Simmr.
3. Orders & payments
- Prices, availability and order cutoffs are set by each Cook and shown at checkout.
- All prices are recomputed and confirmed by Simmr at checkout; the total shown at payment is the amount due.
- Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Cash orders are settled directly with the Cook.
- Any wallet credit, promo codes or loyalty rewards are applied as shown at checkout.
4. Subscriptions
Tiffin subscriptions generate orders automatically on your chosen days. You may pause, skip or cancel before the applicable daily cutoff from your account. Charges apply to orders that are not cancelled before the cutoff.
5. Cancellations & refunds
Because food is freshly prepared, cancellations are only possible before the Cook's order cutoff. Refund requests after that are at the Cook's discretion; contact the Cook or our support team and we'll help.
6. Cook responsibilities
- Register as a food business and comply with all applicable food safety law.
- Provide accurate allergen and ingredient information for every dish.
- Prepare and handle food safely and fulfil accepted orders.
7. Fees
Cooks pay a flat subscription fee to use Simmr. Simmr charges no per-order commission. Card processing fees may apply to card payments. See pricing for details.
8. Food safety & allergens
Customers with allergies must check allergen information and contact the Cook with any concerns before ordering. See our food safety page.
9. Liability
Simmr provides the platform "as is" and is not the manufacturer or seller of the food. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will always be posted here.
